These videos and movies listed below show the very characteristics I explain about ADD-autism spectrum individuals. To understand a different view from how we normally understand them, please first read these next three paragraphs.

A different heart/right-brain orientation turns these individuals inward toward their connective intelligence, having beautiful inner natures, a gut-caring for others and desire to help others and the world. Without a left-brain filter they are often unable to meet the world’s expectations regarding linear focusing on words, numbers, organization, physical coordination, social conversation, and maybe speech itself (left-brain skill). Most have an aversion to over-stimulation from linear information, sensory stimuli, and toxins due to not having a left-brain filter and also because they have very sensitive nervous systems, their reaction often shown in body mannerisms that look strange to others, seeming reclusive, and/or over- focusing on inner passions.

What they bring is connection: for some of these individuals special intelligence gifts or abilities, and for others a special belonging with others in harmonious community. When they are supported, nurtured and feel they belong, their brain will find their special place in our world, not the least of which being to help us all enter our hearts and connective knowledge once again to bring us into connection with others and the planet. Were they here with a left-brain filter, they would not be leading us back into our balanced use of right and left brain for the betterment of the world; they’d be just like us.

I’ll mention also that when individuals with Alzheimer’s are put in touch with their love of music (right brain) their memory comes alive again in that realm.

AUTISM: A father’s, first troubled, then deep recognition of the beautiful world of his autistic son: Khalid Al Ameri 2:01

ASPERGER’S SYNDROME: 16 year old Greta Thunberg
Like many other Asperger’s individuals, speaks only when it is important. Here /Greta shouts very quietly about climate change. (Asperger’s individuals often have a great ability in the acquisition, integration and retention of information, usually learned on their own, driven by their passion.) You can find Greta on TedTalk.com.

JILL BOLTE TAYLOR: “MY STROKE OF INSIGHT” A neuroanatomist, Jill Bolte Taylor, experienced much of what it is to be both a sensitive and an insightful autistic individual when she experienced her own left brain stroke, this akin to having no left-brain functioning filter for spectrum individuals. You will be amazed and deeply moved.

MOVIES

These are some newer and many older movies available at Netflix, or elsewhere,
about heart-centered, differently oriented individuals, usually still said in these
movies to have disorders rather than differences:

Temple Grandin: Different but not Less, autism, excellent
Like Stars on Earth (Taare Zameem Par), ADD and dyslexia, excellent, made in India, available on Netflix.
The Imitation Game, Asperger’s
The Big Short, Asperger’s
Wonder, a bullied, smart little boy
A Boy named Po, autism
The Whole Wide World (Bipolar individual with characteristic lack of social skills,
but extremely talented and empathic. Lived, because totally supported by one
individual.)
Praying with Lior, down syndrome
Regarding Henry, Harrison Ford suffers the loss of left brain skills, then becomes
heart-centered.
Dominick and Eugene
Rain Man, autism
I Am Sam, autism
Jack the Bear
The Other Sister, autism
Her Name is Sabine, autism
The Horse Boy, autism
